1. How does Club LA BOOM actually work?
We bring a curated group of singles together in real life - apéros, gallery salons, pickleball, art tours. No swiping, no profiles.
The format does the heavy lifting: structured icebreakers and facilitated games get people past small talk fast, so you actually get to know someone.
That's the real value: you don't have to walk the room and work it yourself, we built the structure so connection happens naturally.
And it works - we have a strong track record of people walking away with follow-up dates, meaningful friendships, solid business contacts, and find love.

2. How does the matching actually work?
We believe in a hybrid approach. First, the format breaks the ice - games and structure do that part. Second, you're relying on your own senses: who you click with, who makes you laugh, who you want to keep talking to.
In parallel, our algorithm works in the background based on a questionnaire you fill out 24 hours beforehand, and pairs you up after.
We believe in connection - romantic and platonic both count. So enjoy the night the way you would any good night out. The moment you put pressure on yourself to meet your future wife or husband by 10pm, you've taken yourself out of the game.
Loosen up, that's when the good stuff happens anyway :)

3. Who is this for?
People in their late 20s to early 40s who are done with app fatigue and actually want something real.
You don't need to be the most outgoing person in the room - the format is built so introverts and extroverts both get a fair shot. If you're looking for a serious connection rather than a numbers game, you're in the right place.

4. Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket?
Tickets are non-refundable, yet transferable same gender. We plan group sizes and gender ratios in advance, so last-minute changes throw off the whole format for everyone else in the room.
If something genuinely urgent comes up, reach out and we'll look at it case by case.

5. What if the gender ratio isn't balanced, or I don't get matched?
We actively manage ratios before every event and have a strong track record of getting this right. Matching isn't guaranteed for everyone every time - that's not because the algorithm failed, it's because not every group produces a match for every person, the same way real life doesn't (and we can't guarantee who is showing up).
The value of the night isn't a guaranteed match, it's a room full of people who are actually serious about meeting someone, while you learn how to approach people in real life and have a fun time doing it.

6. I'm nervous about going alone. What's it actually like?
Almost everyone arrives a little nervous and that's normal (90% of our participants come alone).
The first round is built to be pure fun, no pressure, no deep questions - that's intentional.
Our hosts run the room, keep things moving, and make sure no one's left standing alone. You're not there to perform. You're there to laugh first, connect second.
